Beyond Singapore: Beautiful Golf Golf Course Santiburi in Koh Samui, Thailand!

I recently had an absolutely delightful and fun golf getaway to Santiburi Golf Course in Koh Samui, Thailand, and I had to share my experience with all of you!

Santiburi Golf Course Experience in Koh Samui – Challenging course!

I visited in April 2025 and was so captivated by this course that I played it not once, but twice! Located in Koh Samui, Thailand, Santiburi is known for its stunning beauty and, let me tell you, it lived up to the challenge!

From the very first tee, I found the course to be very challenging. It's very hilly which requires strategic thinking on every shot. Navigating the uphill and downhill lies was quite the test, but also incredibly rewarding when you pull off a good shot!

Breathtaking Views and a Relaxed Vibe

Beyond the exciting play, the scenery at Santiburi is truly beautiful. As you make your way through the holes, you're treated to gorgeous views, including glimpses of a small lake and even the ocean at certain points. It's pure tropical golf bliss and a wonderful backdrop for your game.

The atmosphere itself was very relaxed. Compared to my experiences on Singapore golf courses, Santiburi felt not as crowded, allowing for a more leisurely pace and the chance to really appreciate the surroundings and your game.

Logistics: Getting There and Fees

Getting to Santiburi Golf Course from our hotel in Koh Samui was smooth. We opted to have our hotel arrange a bigger car, knowing we'd need space for two golf bags that might not fit in a standard Grab car. The one-way ride cost us about 30-40 SGD for two people which felt not too bad for the convenience.

Playing Santiburi can be quite affordable, especially if you find promotions. I paid around 4500 THB which was a special rate for ladies and included the caddy fee. This felt like excellent value for a championship course experience.

The Wonderful Santiburi Caddies

A highlight of playing in Thailand is often the caddies, and the Santiburi caddies were fantastic! They were all very friendly and incredibly helpful, offering lots of tips about the course – from reading the greens to advising on lines off the tee on the hilly holes. Their local knowledge truly enhances the experience.

Fueling Up and Memorable Shots

After a challenging round on the hills, enjoying some nice Thai food at the clubhouse was the perfect way to recharge. The food was delicious and capped off a great day.
